So a few hours after I got home from the hospital with my ulrasound I was back in Emergency with Ben. He was playing in the play area under the stairs and knocked the lightbulb with his head and shattered it. He had a million tiny pieces of glass sticking out of his head, blood everywhere. I had to call my friend Karrie to come over and stay with the daycare kids so I could take him in (Thanks so much Karrie). They just ended up gluing the one bad spot back together, which was good cuz Ben was pretty scared when he went in. He only cried once when they had to go in deep to get the last piece of glass.
So it has been a crazy busy day but I still have lots more excitement left in my day. I am just heading out to go for supper with my girls club (wish i could have a paralyzer) and then we are going to see Sex with Sue. I am sure I will want to Blog about that tomorrow, it should be hilarious!!

I'm one of those naive first moms that you talk of. I probably have no idea what I've gotten myself into!
I've been meaning to ask you: I have a friend here from Canada and she told me that they do not reveal the sex of the baby at ultrasounds in Canada because there are some small groups/cultures that will kill the baby if it's a girl. I really thought she was lying, so is this true or are you not finding out the sex by choice?
Congrats by the way! How will our children be related? 2nd cousins or something like that?
Jeni,
LOL...no that is not the reason they don't reveal the sex or at least I have never heard that. That is really funny though. Just here in Brandon they won't tell you the sex of the baby because they can't guarantee that it is right, I guess they don't want to be sued if they are wrong or something. I could go to Winnipeg which is a couple of hours away and they would tell me but we like the suprise. My friend was told they were having a boy everytime and they have 4 girls so keep your receipts for the blue things :)
You are going to be a great mom, you have lots of nieces and nephews that you practised on. It is a life changing experience but all for the better! I guess our babies will be 2nd cousins, too bad we weren't closer together!!
You look so cute!!! It is such an amazing thing to be pregnant, hard sometimes but amazing too. I am glad Ben is o.k. Isn't super glue amazing, I sliced my finger and did the same thing, so much easier than stitches.
